Borrelia is a genus of bacteria transmitted primarily by ticks, responsible for a range of infections including Lyme disease and Relapsing Fever. In contrast, Relapsing Fever is caused by various Borrelia species, such as Borrelia recurrentis, leading to recurring episodes of high fever and other systemic symptoms.
