Since our inception in 1985, we have been developing fluorescence-based nucleic acid probe technologies that strongly rely on automated DNA synthesis. Our long-standing, in-house oligonucleotide synthesis expertise makes us industry leaders.
Over the years, we have introduced hundreds of innovative specialty phosphoramidites and solid supports including minor groove binders (MGB), unique modified nucleobases, fluorophores, and quenchers. We have developed and optimized the manufacturing and quality control of thousands of high complexity nucleic acid probes and PCR primers in the cGMP environment. We offer a vertically integrated system of production: all steps are performed in-house, starting from the development of specialty reagents to the synthesis of probes and primers and final diagnostic kit assembly.
We understand the oligonucleotide needs of end users because we are end users ourselves. Our proprietary reagents and techniques serve to provide labeled probes with the desired physicochemical properties and, additionally, to simplify the probes’ synthesis and purification. Our comprehensive catalog for nucleic acid labeling includes a wide range of fluorescent dyes, modified nucleobases, minor groove binders and quenchers in a variety of reagent forms. The modifications in our catalog can be considered building blocks for the researcher’s imagination.

Oligonucleotide modifications
Oligonucleotide modifications are essential for various research applications, including gene expression analysis, aptamer development, and siRNA delivery. EGMDx offers a range of modification options, including fluorescent dyes and other labels, to customize oligonucleotides for specific research needs. We set a high bar for ourselves in performance to ensure purity and accuracy of our modified oligonucleotides. We provide custom designed oligonucleotide sequences with modifications upon request.
Purification and quality control
Oligonucleotide purification and quality control are critical steps to ensure excellent output of synthesized oligonucleotides. EGMDx provides oligonucleotide purification services, including HPLC to remove impurities and ensure purity of product. Our facility for manufacturing oligonucleotides is cGMP compliant and ISO 13485 certified.

Real-Time PCR testing for laboratories
ELITechGroup MDx set an industry standard in real-time PCR with the introduction of minor groove binder (MGB) probe technology, featured in our MGB Alert® products. MGB probe technology has long been the gold standard for hybridization probes that allow for melt curve analysis. Adding to our legacy of innovation, we now offer DSQ Alert™ probe technology, an evolution in MGB probe chemistry. Our DSQ Alert reagents feature our newest proprietary duplex stabilizing quencher chemistry in hydrolysis probes, offering enhanced signal-to-noise fluorescence and DNA duplex stability. All test reagents may be used on ELITechGroup MDx proprietary instrument systems and on most open channel platforms.
