Candida auris

Candida auris can be misidentified as a number of different organisms when using traditional phenotypic methods for yeast identification. DSQ Alert^® Candida auris Primer and Probe Mixes are reagents designed to amplify and detect nucleic acid sequences using real-time PCR within the Candida auris ITS2 region.The DSQ Alert^® product line is built on our proprietary Duplex Stabilizing Quencher (DSQ), a molecule that acts as a minor groove binder and a universal fluorescence quencher at the same time.

Our MGB Alert^® Candida auris reagents utilize minor groove binder (MGB) probe technology. Synthetic oligonucleotides with MGB moieties have enhanced DNA affinity and maintain improved hybridization properties of sequence-specific DNA probes. MGB’s physiochemical properties enable labs to develop assays with reliable and unambiguous real-time PCR melt-curve analysis.
